Fundamentally Faroese Shawl

Here are three of our KAL (knit along) projects from Fundamentally Faroese Shawl pattern. Carol is wearing hers which is made with Araucania Chaiten yarn, made from 100% silk.

The second is also being made from an Araucania yarn, Cau-Cau which is 60% pima cotton and 40% silk. Barbara has a good start on this one.

The third, red/orange shawl was made by Judy using Baah La Jolla, the colors really stand out on this yarn.
All three yarns are hand-dyed.

A Work in Progress

New pattern, new yarn. This is the second one of these scarf/shawl's Marily has made. It is a great new pattern, Highland Fling from, a Classic Elite Yarn booklet. She selected this yarn especially for this project, it is Classic Elite Solstice in the colors shown. There are many other yarns you could use for this pattern but this yarn is soft and perfect for this project.
