  • MACHINE SERVCING

JUKI, FEATHERWEIGHT, AND PFAFF CLEANING AND SERVICING: Sign up to have your machine serviced by Chris Botts from Paradise. h. It takes him an hour to do each machine, so machines will be looked at by appointment only. Reservations, with payment, must be made in advance. If your machine needs repair, Chris will have to take it back to his shop in Paradise. You can leave it with him on this date, and you and he can figure out the best way to get the machine back when it’s fixed.

If you get your machine serviced, you will receive 20% off any purchases that day at Sew What, excluding machines and sale items.

FIBER ARTS

INTRODUCTION TO ALTERED BOOK ART AND TECHNIQUES: An altered book is a book which has been made into a piece of art using mixed media art techniques. It is great fun and although it might look intimidating, it is very easy to do once you learn the secrets. This class is limited to 8 people, so sign up soon to ensure your place. Tina and Roberta will provide a sanded board book and miscellaneous paper/ephemera, etc., as part of the price of the class.

KNITTING CLASSES

 

   MONDAY KNITTING HELP: Alison will be here on the following dates to help you solve any knitting problems you are having. She will also gladly teach you how to make socks, using the 4 or 5 needle method. You can also make socks on bigger needles, like Size 6 (the yellow, pink, blue, green, etc., striped sample.

SUMMER KNITTING: Summer knitting classes are open to anyone who has taken classes at Sew What! The shorter sessions are designed to keep you going on your projects over the summer. You can attend any one of the three sessions or vary which one you choose. If you have questions, call Marilyn at the store. There are six sessions of 1-1/2 hours – three before July 4th and three after.
